Live Q&A with: Anne Sefried, BIOVIA and Denese Deeds, CIH, Industrial Health & Safety Consultants
Due to a high level of interest in this topic, AIHA and Biovia are presenting a rebroadcast of a webinar that originally aired on Feb. 10. Following the rebroadcast, Anne Sefried of Biovia and Denese Deeds, CIH, of Industrial Health & Safety Consultants will hold a live question-and-answer session.
Facilities may have thousands of chemicals on site, many of which are hazardous materials. Which ones require compliance with the latest revisions in OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS)? These revisions align with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Chemical Classification and Labeling, and require all hazardous chemicals on site that are covered by HCS to have an updated Safety Data Sheet (SDS); and all chemicals received after June 1, 2015, to have the new GHS labels.
This webinar will discuss the new requirements, and provide helpful tips for how to comply as well as how to ensure your hazardous chemical inventory management is safe and the data accurate.
Hosted and moderated by AIHA, BIOVIA’s Anne Sefried will discuss how technology enables both facility and EH&S professionals to seamlessly integrate processes and workflows associated with hazardous chemical and SDS management to ensure conformance to OSHA/GHS regulatory requirements.
Attendees will learn:
• How changes to the HCS affect chemical inventory management
• OSHA deadlines and expectations
• Labeling compliance and data management challenges
• SDS management and reporting challenges
• How to solve the compliance challenges with software
• Integrated hazardous material and SDS management approaches
• Key points regarding GHS
• OSHAs alignment with GHS
